Welcome to The Lumberjack & The Gypsy~Eclectic Shop & Studio!

I am The Gypsy and for years it has been a dream of mine to have a studio to be able to make my creations and have all my supplies in one place and to keep the creative chaos I make from being all over my house!  Plus, I wanted a place to sell my creations and my ever-growing but seldom seen collection of vintage toys and odds and ends; my collection of Teddy Bears made by American, European and Australian artists and my eclectic purchases from my EBay addiction and other pieces of strangeness I have acquired over the years.

I am a teacher by nature and there is nothing I love better than to show others how to tap in to their own creativity so having a place to give classes was important to me also.  The Lumberjack & The Gypsy is my place to do all of the above.

My husband is the Lumberjack and I have his handcrafted products for sale such as the unique chairs and bookcases he made along with the last of his company’s snowshoes (he has sold that part of his business) and the children’s sleds and a few wooden toboggans that his company, Arrowhead Wood Products have been famous for.

I want to have other women of a “certain age” consign their unique products to the shop as well.  So if you are a Creative (I use that word instead of artist for myself as I think it encompasses what I do better than the term “artist”),  and would like to have your Creations in my space, please email me some photos of what you do at: robynbelsvik@gmail.com and perhaps you can become one of the Gypsy’s in the shop!  The more the merrier!

The Lumberjack & The Gypsy is a small place that I hope you will feel right at home the minute you walk in and be inspired to create something of your own.

Crafting classes will be on the Second & Fourth Thursday nights starting at 6pm and what we are creating will be up on this site at the beginning of the month so you can see what wondrous thing you will take home with you.  This will start in February so please LIKE this on FaceBook or follow us at: http://www.thelumberjackandthe gypsy.wordpress.com

We are located on Old Hwy 61 about a half mile away from the Black Bear Casino and Resort.

Take I-35 to the Exit for Carlton; Black Bear Casino; Hwy 210

Turn left at stop sign if you were coming from the Duluth area OR turn right if you were headed to Duluth (if you go by the Casino enterance you are going in the opposite direction!)

You are now on Hwy 210 and you will see a big green sign that says “Atkinson” and turn RIGHT after the sign onto Old Hwy 61.

You will go over an overpass and then you will see a sandy-colored one story building on the left hand side and a sign, “Voyageur Mini Storage” turn in there and you will see my sign.  Come on in the door with the deck.

I am open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 4pm also starting February 2, 2018.

I hope to see you soon,

Robyn Belsvik
